Welcome

Highland Kids is a loving and warm environment where kids love God and worship Jesus!

We partner with parents in raising children to love Jesus, love like Jesus, and have a biblical worldview.

Sundays (11:00 am)

We have worship for all children that includes praise songs, offering, and prayer. After worship, we have four classes:

Toddlers (1 - 2 years)
PreK (3 - 4 years)
K - 2nd grade
3rd - 5th grade

Classes are led by volunteer teachers and based on curriculum materials from The Biggest Story by Crossway.

Fridays (7:30 pm)

Join us for Bible studies, games, and fellowship activities on Fridays for all children!

Pastor for Children

James Shin was born in South Korea and raised in the Chicago area. Having studied at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School and Moody Bible Institute, he is currently an ordained minister in the PCA.

Let Justice Roll Down (Amos 5)

Summary

We learned about the prophet Amos. Amos reminded God’s people that God cares about justice, kindness, and humility. The people were worshiping God with songs and sacrifices, but they were not treating others with love and fairness. God wanted his people to stop doing evil, help others, and live the right way. Amos told the people to “seek the Lord and live.” We also learned that Jesus perfectly showed us what God is like. Jesus was loving, kind, fair, and humble. He died on the cross so sinners could be forgiven and become part of God’s kingdom.
